Earlier this week, UA Local 137 BM Aaron Gurnsey spoke at the ribbon cutting for the largest Direct Air Capture (DAC) prototype in the U.S., located in Springfield, IL. 2) Biden's $7 Billion Hydrogen Hubs Boost UA Jobs Nationwide

President Biden has awarded $7 Billion to establish hydrogen hubs in 16 states, this monumental investment, which includes strong labor protections, will create thousands of UA jobs across the country. These hydrogen hubs are essential to developing clean energy technologies and securing good-paying jobs for our members.

3) Biden's Commitment to Nuclear Energy Creates UA Jobs

President Biden's robust commitment to modernizing and expanding our nuclear fleet is creating more work opportunities for UA members. With significant investments like a $1.5 billion loan for the Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, $1.1 billion in credits for Diablo Canyon, and $12 billion in loan guarantees for Vogtle 3, UA members are at the forefront of building and maintaining these vital energy projects.
