Journeymen Training Classes Fall/ Winter 2016/ 2017 - (8/30/2016)

Journeymen Training Fall/ Winter 2016/ 2017

Due to the upcoming shutdowns at Paulsboro Refinery and at Salem we will not be scheduling Journeyman Certification until December 2016.

Built Rite Recertification 6:00pm: This class is held on the first Wednesday of every month. You may also complete recertification on Tuesdays or Thursdays between 9:00am and 11:00am.

Journeymen Welding 5:30pm (12 students maximum): Sign up by September 5, 2016! If you are interested, please RSVP to Jeffrey Berger by email training@local322.org. or call 609-567-3322 extension 4. You will be required to attend class on both Monday and Tuesday nights to participate. This will be a 12 week training session starting on September 12, 2016 ending on November 29, 2016. Your welding skills will be evaluated on the first night of class to see where you will need to start.

(Remember there will be a shutdown at Paulsboro Refinery in September then one at Salem in November. Please do not sign up for this class if you will be working the shut downs.)

We will hold 2 more 12 week sessions December 5, 2016 through February 28, 2017 and the last session will be March 6, 2017 through May 16, 2017.

UA Weld Test: Dates to be announced

Into to Computer 5:30pm (12 student maximum): This class is being held on Monday nights starting January 9, 2017. Learn how to access files, email, cut and paste and more. This is a prerequisite for Auto Cad. This class will start in January 2017. Upon completion of this class you may roll into Auto Cad.

Advanced Auto Cad Tuesday nights starting in September: Continue to sharpen your Auto Cad skills.

CPR/ First Aid: 5:30pm (10 students maximum): This is a three night class and is being held Thursday night November 3, 10, and 17^th 2016. You must attend all three nights.

Backflow Installer/ Tester 5:30pm (10 students maximum): This class will start on Monday December 5, 2016. This is a 10 week 40 hour certification class with a Proctored hand on and a written test.

Installation of Medical Gas Systems (10 student minimum 16 maximum): Dates to be announced. This is a 10 week 40 hour certification class. Upon completion you will receive a certification through NITC. This consists of a written test and a Braze certification. Braze coupons are sent to NITC for certification.

Advanced Valve Certification (6 student minimum 10 maximum): Prerequisite, you must have your UA Valve Certification to participate in this class. This is a 10-12 week certification class with a written and hands on test. Dates to be announced.

Plumbing and HVAC Continuing Education – 2 Classes will be available:

Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 8:00am

OSHA 30 March 2017 Dates to be announced.
